This week we are busy with our current Filler days - they are so popular we had to open another couple of days. We still have a couple of spots free on 26 October if anyone is interested.

Annual Leave

I am on annual leave from 12 November to 5th December so Leah will be looking after the phone for me. I'm off to Vegas and then Florida but will still be in touch via email or Facebook. Please "like" our Facebook page which can be found by putting the clinic name in the Facebook Search box.

November Microderm Madness week

The week before I go on holiday I am doing a few days of microdermabrasions for £40 instead of my usual charge of £50. If you want to book in on 7th or 10th November for a microderm at a reduced rate then ring me on 01732 832004.

Models required for practice and other news from CKC

Hi Everyone

A few things to let you know about this month:

IPL hair removal treatment models required

I (Diana) am continuing my practical training for the IPL hair removal treatment and I need some models to give me some practice. Six treatments are required at four weekly intervals and your hair needs to be darker than your surrounding skin. I am offering these at half price for the six treatments - you will then need a top up treatment every six - twelve months or so as we guarantee permanent hair reduction (not permanent removal). If you are interested please ring on the clinic number 01732 832004 for a booking - times can be very flexible as I only live down the other end of Tonbridge.

Models required for Dermal filler automatic application system practice

Cindy has now purchased an automatic application system that can be used for mesotherapy (skin hydration) or for application of Dermal Fillers in the usual places for volume.

Cindy has had a number of clients who have had the mesotherapy treatment on their face and hands but now she would like to offer her existing clients an opportunity to be a model so that she can practice using the system to administer dermal fillers for volume (e.g. nose to mouth, marionette lines and cheeks). If you would like to be a model to help Cindy out the cost of treatment will be £280 per syringe instead of £340. This is a great opportunity since our next Special Filler price day is not until 19th October. If you want to be a model before the end of July we need TEN. First come first booked. Ring the clinic number as usual.

Mesotherapy using the automatic application system

There is nothing worse than parched-looking skin. Cindy is offering mesotherapy for £195 per treatment. Three treatments are required at 15 day intervals. This treatment promises to rehydrate the skin on the face or the hands. Book a consult with Cindy for more details.

BRA BANK for Breast Cancer

If you are anything like me then you sell all and sundry on eBay. However I draw the line at selling my old underwear - so I was really interested to read in You magazine about the existence of the BRA BANK which is a charity that collects old/ill-fitting bras. Most go to Africa for the ladies out there but any that are not in a condition to be worn are pulled apart and recycled and the money raised is put towards a breast cancer charity.
We have a BRA BANK at the clinic so please feel free to bring along your bras.

Hi girls and guys

Lots of CKC news to let you know about so sit down with a cuppa tea and enjoy the sunshine whilst you have a read of our blog.

NEW WEBSITE

We now have two websites - the existing one http://www.cindyknightclinic.com/ and the new one http://www.cindyknightclinic.co.uk/

The new clinic website has the same information as the old one but is (or will be) more SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) friendly. It also has an online shop which means that you will be able to order your Theraderm, Cetaphil, and Mene and Moy products. You can also order CKC gift vouchers on the online shop if you want to make a gift out of a visit to the clinic.

Our Cetaphil products are very reasonable considering the size of the bottle and they are backed by science.

Now that the sun is shining it is even more important to slap on the sunblock. We continue to stock our Theraderm Platinum protection but the actual sunblock is now 43 SPF instead of 30 SPF - More protection for the same price. Remember you will still tan but you will greatly reduce any sun damage.

HOLIDAY DATES

Cindy is on Annual Leave from 14th April until 2 May and Diana is on Annual Leave from 7th May to 31 May. Leah will be looking after the phone then so there will always be someone there to book your appointments or to ask any questions.

EXPANSION OF THE CLINIC TO HASTINGS

Good news for all our ladies and gents that live in Hastings or the surrounding areas. We will now have a treatment room at the newly-built Sussex College right by Hastings Train Station. We start on Thursdays at the beginning of June this year and will include dermal filler injectibles, chemical peels, medical microdermabrasion, microsclerotherapy, mole and skin tag removal etc. This will be every Thursday from 10am until 4pm from 2 June 2011 - but the times can be more flexible. Please ring our usual number for an appointment.

MICRODERM MADNESS

As I have now completed my training and practice sessions, I have now been let loose on the unsuspecting public and that any microderm booked with me will be £50 on a permanent basis. Cindy and Leah charge £85 so if you want a great bargain ask for me.

NEXT DERMAL FILLER SPECIAL PRICE DAY

The next filler day where the prices are on special offer will be Wednesday 19th October. The two days in May are completely full now so if you want to book in then ring or email us.

Hello everyone - I can't believe that I last did a blog entry in October just before my holiday so thought I would get my bottom in gear to let you know the latest things happening at the Cindy Knight clinic.

Staff Changes

First thing first - our massage therapist no longer works at the Cindy Knight Clinic as she has taken up a teaching post and is also continuing her work with the London Cobras American Football team - lucky girl. We all wish her continued success.

Special offer for training purposes

As Usha has gone I have been learning the art of microdermabrasion and I need some more willing subjects to practice on on Tuesday 22nd February. If you would like a microdermabrasion for the princely sum of £20 instead of £85 and you are free on Tuesday 22nd February please ring the clinic for an appointment. Cindy says I am a natural apparently, so take advantage of the price reduction whilst it is there!

Special Filler Day

Our next Special Filler price day is on 11th and 13th May. Filler price per syringe will be £260 instead of £340 and there are only a few places left.

Other Special Offers

Remember that if you book a course of treatments such as IPL for hair removal and skin rejuvenation etc or our Accent RF skin tightening and fat removal therapy, if you buy a course of 5 at the beginning of the course you get the 6th treatment for free.

Restylane "Vital" treatment for chest and hands

You may not be aware that Cindy is qualified in the use of Restylane SubQ as well as for Restylane Vital and Vital Light.

These dermal fillers are used to give volume in the cheeks (SubQ) or revitalisation of the chest or hands (Vital/Vital Light).

If your hands are giving away your age, come and have a chat with Cindy.

The treatment for the hands is priced at £450 and this includes three separate treatments spaced 3-4 weeks apart.

A top-up will then be suggested every six months and this costs £200.

Holiday dates

Please make a note in your diaries that Cindy will be away from the clinic on 4th March to 13th March and 14th April to 2nd May. I will be away from the clinic from 7th - 30th May but Leah will have the phone as usual so don't worry about ringing up for an appointment or to ask questions as someone is always on the other end of the phone.

And finally.....

I also want to thank everyone who was so supportive of my decision to have my gastric bypass - it has been 14 months now and I am a size 14/16 and have lost just over 9 stone. Best thing I ever did and if anyone wants to chat with me about it if they think it is something that might help then feel free to ring me. Next step for me is a bit of plastic surgery but I am gonna leave it awhile as I am currently utilising the Accent RF therapy to reduce my crepey belly - I will be putting up the photos once I have had six treatments.

Thought I would update you all on our latest news and offers at the Clinic.

CQC registration

You might be aware that IPL and Lasers have been de-regulated by the government but at the Cindy Knight Clinic we have decided that we would like to continue to be regulated by the Care Quality Commission which protects the client and ensures that we run a safe establishment for treatments - the aesthetic industry is agog by the fact that people are now allowed to treat people with lasers, which in the wrong hands can be very dangerous. We received confirmation yesterday that The Cindy Knight Clinic has attained continued registration with the CQC. So you can rest assured that our IPL laser is totally safe in our therapists hands.

IPL treatment - latest offer

To celebrate our continued registration with the CQC we are offering new IPL clients a "buy 2 get 1 free" package for hair removal/pigmentation removal and skin rejuvenation treatments until the end of the year. Either mention this blog or bring a copy of the offer to the Clinic which will be running in this month's Royal Tunbridge Wells magazine and will be in the Courier newspaper at some point in October.

Medical Microdermabrasion offer

Cindy's and Di's latest health news

We both have been overwhelmed with everyone's good wishes - Cindy has finished her radiation and is just taking the tablets now - so the clinic is running back to normal now - thanks everyone for your patience :-)

I have now lost 7 stone 12 pounds now having had my Gastric Bypass in December 09. Everyone has been so supportive so thank you very much - I just need to get on our Accent machine to reduce some of my excess skin!!

I am off on my holibobs on 30th October so the Practice Manager's job will be done by Leah for 3 weeks - please feel free to ring our normal number - I divert it to the Clinic mobile so no calls will be missed - leave a message if needs be - it will always be returned.

Spring is in the air!

Hello all

Just to let you know that the Cindy Knight Clinic is still running well, having survived this 2 year recession.

Not much to report really - our special filler day on the 25th May is full up so we have started an overflow for Thursday 27th May and there are a few places left.

Cindy will also be offering Reststylane Vital from May 2010 which is a stabilised form of hyaluronic acid gel that can be used to treat ageing hands, as well as chests, plumping up the skin for a youthful appearance.

A set of three treatments at monthly intervals will cost £180 each treatment or £500 if you pay for the three treatments when you receive the first one.

I noticed that I haven't posted for a while and that is very naughty of me.

I have a date for the new special filler price day and it is on Tuesday 25 May 2010 at the Hildenborough Clinic. Please try and book early as spaces are going quite quickly.

The Clinic is also pleased to tell you that it now stocks the famous Cetaphil products joining our current brands, Mene and Moy, Skinceuticals, and Theraderm.

Cetaphil is very popular with the USA celebrities and you might have seen it in the Daily Mail's You Magazine on a regular basis. The great thing about Cetaphil is that although it has the science to back it up, it is also very affordable. We currently have the Moisturing Lotion and the Gentle Cleanser at £10 each for a 250ml bottle. Remember that all our products can be ordered by phone and posted out to you. You don't have to visit the clinic to get your fix of creams and potions.

Some clients may be unaware of our "refer a friend" programme. If you refer a friend to our Clinic (either at Hildenborough or Bexhill) once they have paid for thier first treatment, you and they will receive a £25 Gift Voucher to spend on treatments/items at the Cindy Knight Clinic.

We are halfway through the decorating process for the clinic but we are on a tight deadline so I hope it all comes together before Cindy and Leah get back from their holidays. And I hope you all like the new look!

Please note that Usha is now at the Clinic only on a Monday - we wish her well with her new role as a Sports Masseuse at a clinic in Surrey on Fridays. She will continue to provide Massage services as well as Microdermabrasion at The Cindy Knight Clinic on Mondays. Please ring the clinic number as usual to make an appointment.

Remember that Cindy can also see Clients at her treatment room in Cooden Beach, East Sussex and we also in talks with a local salon in Bexhill which will also provide treatments by Cindy. Holiday dates and refit news!

Hi there everyone

Just to let you know Cindy and Leah's holiday dates. Leah's last day is 9th September and she returns on 22 September. Cindy's last day is Thursday 10th September and she is back on Tuesday 22 September.

During this time I am taking advantage of their absence and having the clinic redecorated. I will still be available to book in appointments as well as sending out creams/potions and lotions etc.

Also there are a few spaces left on the Special Price Dermal Filler day which is being held on 30th September.

I am freshly rejuvenated after attending my first FACE conference. Cindy however has been to all of them since its inception. There were a few things there that caught Cindy's eye including the micro-needle roller system which had fantastic results for issues such as wrinkles, deep scars, stretch marks and acne scars. Just a quick note to let you all know that I am off on holiday for 3 weeks from tomorrow morning (25th April to 17th May) - Leah will have the phone and the diary so appointments can be made through the usual number. She will also be in contact with Cindy should you have any questions or issues you need to discuss. Cindy will be manning the emails.

Cindy is then on holiday for one week from 16th May. Well earned I hear you all say!

As a little teaser I can confirm that there will be a special filler price day at the end of June - Tuesday 30th June to be precise - so if you want to book early please do. Dermal fillers will be £260 per syringe on that day. Botox will not form part of special filler day prices at the Clinic as it a prescription medicine.

Botox is 20 years old!

It’s difficult to believe that it’s a full 20 years since Botulinum toxin (Botox) was approved for human use. However, the Sun newspaper has marked its birthday this month by reminding its readers not just of the cosmetic benefits of Botox, but also of its health transforming features, including the alleviation of excessive sweating, migraine and back pain and even its use in the treatment of obesity in a recent trial by the University of Milan, Italy.

This month news from both sides of the Atlantic featured the fact that there has been a sharp rise in men having Botox treatment to enhance not just their appearance but their careers. Simon Cowell has even been quoted as saying that he has had Botox and ‘ it’s no more unusual than toothpaste’. ‘Manscaping’ as it’s known in the US, has seen a rise in popularity with an estimated 300,000 men in the US having Botox every six weeks, and Allergan, the American Botox manufacturer, has reported a 30% surge of Botox sales amongst men since November.
Botox is considered to be particularly popular as it has a relatively low cost and no downtime, reports Dr Philip Stallman, a facial cosmetic surgeon in California. "A confident, alert appearance is part of the masculine ideal," notes Dr. Stallman, "and a youthful look is a hugely desirable trait, especially for men competing for jobs in the workplace. This is the last blog before Cindy and I go on Annual Leave to Florida on 2nd November.

Leah will be receiving your calls whilst I am away. Cindy will be back in the Hildenborough Clinic on 20th November but can see people at her Cooden Beach treatment room from 18th November.

Wednesday is Threading day

Threading is an ancient method of hair removal. Hairs are whisked out precisely from the root. With tweezing hair grows back thicker because most have been just "broken off" which accounts for the black spots that can often be seen after a tweezer is used.

Hi everyone

For those following my Florida House buying story, I am now the proud owner of a 2 bedroom bungalow near the sea in Ormond Beach, Florida. Woo hoo! So I have not been updating my cyber-clients as I should - apologies for that.

First thing - I have just uploaded a newsreel from Fox in the USA giving an overview of the Accent treatment - take a look! I also saw the accent machine on an episode of Nip/Tuck, which was surreal!

Second thing - Usha the masseuse has changed her days from Mondays to Fridays - please ring the clinic as usual for appointments.

Third thing - Christina is having a special promotion for any microdermabrasions undertaken in June July and August. Purchase a microderm treatment for £50 and receive an eyebrow threading treatment free (usually £10).

Fourth thing - If anyone wants to let our other clients know of anything of interest, this is the place to do it!

Hi everyone

It has been a while but I don't want to bug you all too often.

We have a couple of special days which I will go into more detail later on. We also have other bits of news though, so I will start with the most important.

CINDY IS MOVING

At last Cindy has got a moving date which is Monday 14th April. As Cindy will be commuting from Cooden Beach, near Eastbourne, she will now be working at the clinic in Hildenborough two days a week. However this will not include Wednesdays as Christina will be in on that day providing microdermabrasion and hair threading treatments.

CLINIC STAFF

I am posting a reminder of what the clinic services are, and who provides them.

Cindy - Cindy currently provides the following treatments - Botox, dermal fillers, microdermabrasions as part of other treatments, hyperhidrosis treatment, chemical peels, sclerotherapy, mesotherapy, and diathermy (skin tag/lesion/mole removal).

Sue - Sue Iliopolous (RGN) has joined the clinic on a part time basis. She currently works as a Diabetic Nurse at a local GP practice. Her specialisms include diabetes, injections and skin lesion removal. Cindy has trained her in the aesthetic art of Dermal Fillers. She will also be undertaking diathermy and sclerotherapy. Sue will be at the clinic on Thursdays and/or Fridays.

Leah - Leah continues as our IPL and Accent practitioner. IPL is Intense Pulsed Light treatment for hair removal, skin pigmentation correction, skin rejuvenation and treatment for current acne and acne scarring. The Accent system is a body and face contouring treatment which also successfully treats cellulite. This system is FDA approved. Leah works on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with every other Wednesday as 2pm to 8pm.

Fiona - Fiona is our qualified nutritionist and she is our other Accent practitioner. Fiona works on Thursdays and one Saturday a month by arrangement.

Usha - Usha is our qualified Sports masseuse. She is available for massages (not just Sports ones) on Mondays.

Christina -Christina is a qualified complementary therapist. She visits the clinic on Wednesdays to undertake microdermabrasions. She also provides threading (facial hair/eyebrows) as a service too.

I have a few bits of news for you and a couple of offers so make sure you read all of this blog.

Eyebrow threading on its own will cost £10. Full face threading, which gets rid of all facial hair, including the downy hair, costs £20.

Other news - well I have a couple of photos of Sharon since she had her cheeks done, and these were also in the Kent County Magazine this month.

The first photo was when she first came into the clinic. The second photo was after various treatments including botox, fillers, Theraderm skin system, and some microdermabrasion and was 4 weeks later.
As you can see there is some real difference in Sharon's skin tone as well as the position of her cheeks, which brings a lift to the whole of the side of her face.

Can you really hold back time without resorting to Botox or the surgeon's knife?

In an extract from her new book, our cosmetic surgery expert Wendy Lewis reveals the skincare creams that will keep you looking young...
" Do creams really work?

I get asked this question at least ten times a day. Creams absolutely work, but in a limited capacity. The main reason women are dissatisfied with their skincare is that their expectations are off the charts to begin with.
You mustn't be dazzled by claims that sound miraculous – there is no face-lift in a jar, or filler in a bottle, or Botox in a tube.
Many companies make great products, but they won't do much if your skin is in need of something more aggressive.
Skincare is the place to start, in order to lay a foundation for your beauty future, but eventually over-the-counter products won't be enough. That's when it's time to move from cream to needle.

When to splurge and when to save

You don't have to take out a second mortgage to have great skin. But don't cut corners on all your skincare formulas. Buying cheaper products can sometimes mean sacrificing the ingredients that your skin craves. Lesser-quality products sometimes contain more water, so you need more to get the job done, and there go your savings.

Good-quality skincare products are very concentrated, so using a small amount (about the size of a pea) is often enough and can make them last longer. If you figure out the cost of using one ounce of an eye cream that costs £50 over three months, it comes to about 50p per day.

Splurge on a few great products that you can't live without in the anti-ageing and treatment categories – for example, your favourite eye cream.

Spend more of your budget on your face than on your body. Fill in with less expensive cleansers, body scrubs and lotions, and hand creams.

Watch expiry dates. The newer the product, the fresher the ingredients and the more effective it will be. Buy small sizes so that the shelf life does not expire before you get to the bottom of the jar.

You don't have to spend a fortune on a good cleanser to get your skin clean and remove make-up. Look for multitasking products. How can I tell if my skincare is working?

Use it as directed for at least six full weeks consistently to judge fairly. Get a second opinion; ask your partner or a girlfriend who will tell you the truth if they see an improvement. If you are not getting remarks like 'Your skin looks amazing!' it may not be getting the job done."

I'm back - did you miss me??

Hello to all my cyber clientele.

I am back from my Florida trip and all those who are interested in seeing 100 pictures of various sunsets and alcoholic drinks, go and look on my facebook profile. I will have hard copies in the clinic too if you want to be distracted from the needles..... Mind you, everone knows that Cindy is a whizz with the needle, causing minimum amount of pain.

The staff situation has changed, as Sarah is no longer a consultant nurse at the clinic. We wish her well.

Christmas is just around the corner and I thought I would let you know the Clinic's Christmas opening times.
Cindy is working until 21st December and will be back on 3rd January.
Leah (IPL Laser/Accent - Tuesdays and Wednesdays) is working until 19th December and will be back on 9th January.
Fiona (Accent - Thursdays and some Saturdays) will be in until the 13th December and will be back on 10th January.
Usha's last day will be 17th December and she will be back on 7th January. Massages make very good Christmas presents you know!

Dermal fillers Special reminder and other news

Hi everyone

Hi - see my post below for more details but I just had to add some more photos of Sharon now that she has had some Dermal Filler treatment to her face. She has had some Teosyal Deep Lines injected into the nose to mouth lines (naso-labial). Here are a few pictures to show pre, during and post-treatment.

The second photo is during treatment - Sharon has had the right side done. Although the procedure did sting, Sharon was so pleased with the results that she became quite emotional.

First off let's give you the latest on our 10 Years Younger lady, Sharon. Having had her first Botox treatment she came back for the assessment. Cindy added a couple of injections to the forehead where there was still excess movement. Cindy did not want Sharon to lose the natural movements in her face. Both Sharon and Cindy were pleased with the result.

Sharon also had a microdermabrasion treatment which took all the dead skin cells off her face and left her with lovely pink skin as opposed to the grey skin that Sharon was sporting earlier in the month. Sharon is keeping a diary which I will publish at a later date. Here are the "2 week on" photos, and let me tell you that I am not the most observant girl in the world, but I noticed such a big difference in Sharon's face.

The second piece of news is that we have a new nurse joining us on 2 November, and we will be celebrating this by having a special Dermal Filler Weekend on the 2nd and 3rd of November. - Update - Cindy is not taking on a new nurse at this time due to changes in circumstances.

The third piece of news is that, as can be seen in my previous post, we have the services of a qualified masseuse on a Monday. One hour £40, half an hour £30. Please ring me at the clinic for an appointment for any of our services.

Now that the Accent machine is up and running we have seen some very happy clients! I myself have lost about 5cm from my belly and I am also having my bingo wings done and after two treatments I have lost 2cm from one arm and 1.5cm from the other. Accent appointments are available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and some Saturdays (by mutual agreement with the therapist).

Cindy Knight Clinic presents Usha Christmas qualified Masseuse

Hi everybody

I thought I would let you all know that as from October 2007 The Cindy Knight Clinic will be expanding to include a qualified masseuse. Usha will be available for appointments every Monday.

As usual, ring me for an appointment. Usha will be giving me her pen picture which I will upload as soon as I can but I thought I would let you all know now whilst the news is hot!

Usha is qualified and fully insured to perform massage treatments, her forte being sports massage but anyone can benefit from her treatments.

Introducing our 10 years younger participant

Sharon is an interior designer with a shop in Hildenborough. Sharon has never used any products on her skin and it shows.

I have included a couple of her before photos and I want you all to guess her age. Please feel free using the comments box or by emailing me.

As Sharon goes through the treatments I will be asking her what she thought of it, and how it felt, etc.

Today is the 13th September and Cindy has given Sharon her first consultation and has decided that she will start with a gentle treatment of Botox on the three areas, glabella, forehead, and the upper part of the crows feet. Cindy wants Sharon to have a natual look and will assess her handiwork in two weeks time, as is usual with Botox treatment.

Cindy then gave Sharon a Theraderm Skin Renewal System (RRP £135) in order to start Sharon on a skincare regime.

The skincare renewal system comprises of:

Step 1 - the Cleansing Wash,

Step 2 - Fruit Acid Exfollient,

Step 3 - OPC Reparative Gel and

Step 4 - Gentle Moisturiser.

Cindy explained that this should be used once a day.

She also gave Sharon a Theraderm SPF 30 Suncream (RRP £20) to ensure that her face is protected from UVA and UVB rays at all times.

I asked Sharon how she felt after the Botox treatment. She said that although she was anticipating a lot of pain, the first injection stung a little bit then the next 10 injections did not hurt at all. 15 minutes later she felt a slight burning sensation which was gone after a further 10 minutes.

Before Sharon left, Cindy gave her a sample of Skinceuticals Eye Balm and booked her in for her two week assessment.

Cindy has plans for Sharon, which include, a course of microdermabrasion treatments, dermal fillers, and a chemical peel (the Theraderm Kit helps the skin to prepare for this treatment).

No other news really apart from Cindy being on Annual Leave from tomorrow until 25th September. I am holding the phone so you can still ring for appointments, advice and creams.

Cindy's next Saturdays are 29th September and 13th October.

Cindy's Saturdays in September

Although Cindy is on Annual Leave during September she has a couple of Saturdays on the diary. So if you require a Saturday appointment (fillers and botox only) then she is here on 8th and 29th September. Ring me on the usual number to book an appointment.

I have joined Facebook, so if you are a member, don't be shy, ask me to be your friend. I want to set up a group on there but I am not sure if everyone wants to be loud and proud about their secret of youth!!

My next big project is to organise a press party for our new Accent machine. Any tips regarding the PR etc. would be gratefully received.

Also look out for Nicky Hambleton-Jones' new magazine which is out in November. We have a nice full page ad in there. Thanks to Andy Bull (Uniteform) who got it done before their deadline.

Annual Leave information and new products..

I have just come back from my holiday in Michigan and I had a great time. I attended a pow-wow and swam in the lake, and managed not to shop too much...

Just to let you know that Cindy will be on Annual Leave from 23rd August to 29th August and from 14th to 24th September.

Leah will be on Annual Leave from 27th August until 7 September.

The Accent machine is in and running now. So if you want a consult, ring me and I will book you in. I have had one treatment so far, and I can say that, although I am a baby when it comes to pain, I was fine. There are a few hotspots here and there but the handpiece releases a cooling sensation when it becomes a bit too hot.

Those that know me, will know that my tummy is not the smallest in the world but when I have had all the treatments I will let you all know how it went. Having seen the photos and discussed other clinics' results I am very hopeful of at least a tighter, less wobbly belly. Obviously I won't look like Kate Moss but my expectations were managed by the therapist Fiona.

Breaking NEWS.......

The newsletter will take a fantastic turn next month when one of Cindy's colleagues "S" will be trying all the treatments right before your cyber-eyes!

"S" is an aesthetic treatment virgin and just uses soap and water so she will be an ideal canvas.

Each month, starting at the end of August I will be logging "S"'s progress on the newsletter as she undertakes Botox, peels, filllers and whatever else is required for her to look 10 years younger! In fact we are hoping for a lot more years falling off!

It will begin with the before photo and you will all be invited to guess her age in true Nicky Hambleton-Jones fashion. But we will not be parading her around Bluewater. It will all be on this Newsletter. So keep this page as a "bookmark" so that you can dip in and out as you wish.

As the treatments progess you will get the chance to ask her questions like "Does it hurt?" "How long before the treatment kicks in?" etc. Your questions will remain anonymous if you like, and you can always ask them through the comments part of the blog if you wish.

Embarrassing Illnesses!

For anyone that tunes in to Channel 4's Embarrassing Illnesses, you might notice that a number of patients have problems that can be cured at the Cindy Knight Clinic.

For example, tonight's program showed a man who suffered from hair growth over his right shoulder. This can easily be treated by undertaking our IPL treatment, which has the double benefit of lightening any pigmentation lying beneath the hair.

A few weeks ago a patient had problems with excessive sweating - this is known as hyperhidrosis. The doctor suggested that they have Botox injections which would reduce the sweating dramatically. This treatment is also performed at the Cindy Knight Clinic for £500 for both armpits.

IPL treatment can also be used for acne reduction.

Leah is our IPL practitioner and works on Tuesday and Wednesday. On two Wednesdays a month she works until 8pm.

Special Microdermabrasion day!

To celebrate Leah's return to the clinic from maternity leave we are having a special microdermabrasion day on Tuesday 17th July. Leah will be doing the treatments at a special rate of £60 instead of the regular price of £85. Please book now to avoid disappointment.

Leah is returning to the clinic each Tuesday and Wednesday and will be the IPL practitioner. So ring for an appointment for issues with hair, pigmentation and acne.

Leah's little bady daughter Tiegan Bethany Knight is now 5 months old and will be starring in Friday's Kent and Sussex Courier for "Best Baby" competition. If you want to help Leah increase Tiegan's chances of winning please buy the Courier and vote vote vote!!

The filler day is now chocablock but we will be running another one in January 2008.

I will normally update this newsletter on a monthly basis unless I have something exciting to report. Well, Cindy has announced a "Dermal Filler special" day! Also it is getting closer to our reveal of the new ACCENT machine which will give amazing results in treating cellulite, body reshaping and skin tightening. My name is Diana Knight and I am the Practice Manager at the Cindy Knight Clinic. I thought I would use the power of cyberspace to launch the Cindy Knight Clinic online Newsletter.

First of all welcome to this newsletter. We are going to use it as the vehicle for letting our clients know about new treatments, special offers, and our latest news.

Talking of latest news, I can let you know that from August 2007 the clinic will be offering the latest ACCENT Radio Frequency treatment.

This treatment was given FDA approval in April 2007 and gives absolutely amazing results with regard to skin tightening, cellulite reduction and body reshaping. As you can see from the photos this treatment shows real results after 6 - 8 treatments.

If you are interested in treatment please ring the clinic on 01732 832004 and book an appointment or request a brochure/more information.

Prices are £300 per session for the face and £200 per session for a specific body area.

Your first treatment will take 45 - 60 minutes, allowing for before photographs to be taken. Ongoing treatments will typically be 30 minute appointments. For facial remodelling, a course of 2 - 4 sessions is usually required at 2 - 4 week intervals. However body treatments usually require a course of 6 - 8 treatments at 7 day intervals. In the case of stubborn cellulite however, treatment can be applied more frequently.

We also have the "Superior Pro" Intense Pulse Light laser which is a skin rejuvenation tool for such problems as red veins, excess hair, pigmentation problems, skin lesions and other skin issues you might be dealing with.
